Don’t the snowdrops seem to be even further ahead of themselves than ever this year? (These ones were open in my garden before Christmas, and are still looking good.)

I’ve put the dates and times of some of our local snowdrop garden openings into the current Newsletter, and I’ll be posting more details on the website as I get to know about them. (If you hear of any good ones that aren’t too far afield, do please let me know.)

Annetta and Simon Turner have told me that they will be repeating their successful and enjoyable Snowdrop Lunch, to be held this year on Thursday 19th February, at Willow Holt, Folkingham (12noon – 3pm). View the ever-expanding collection of snowdrops in their delightful garden and enjoy a light lunch of homemade soups and puddings and a glass of wine. Tickets are only £6 but advance booking is essential*: please ring Annetta on 01529 497215. This year they are raising money to upgrade the children’s play area on Folkingham Playing Field.

*Annetta adds that the lunch will be in the house, so do please still come, even if the weather is inclement!
