Gwen Grantham’s Thanksgiving Service

A service of thanksgiving for the life of Gwen Grantham will be held at St Peter’s church, Woodhall Spa, tomorrow, Wednesday 2 April, at 2.30pm, with a gathering afterwards at the Petwood Hotel. Sadly I will not be able to attend. I would like to extend my sympathies (and so, I’m sure, will all members of SLGS who knew Gwen) to Geoffrey and their family and close friends. Gwen was a real live-wire, a great gardener and knowledgeable plantswoman. A longstanding member of SLGS, she was very active in the Lincolnshire plant world, especially through her involvement with the Daffodil Society and the garden openings she and Geoffrey had at Park House Farm for the NGS before they moved away from Walcott. A lovely lady and a good friend, it is hard to believe she has gone; she will be sorely missed.
